Charles Neil's Pre-Color Conditioner - Blotch Control

There are no words to describe how absolutely GREAT this conditioner is. We had a new room built with pine window trim. All of it had to be replaced because it was done without a conditioner and so blotchy and spotted. Looked like a massacre on the Savannah. Once replaced, we used this conditioner and it looks fabulous - yes even pine trim. Now I"m using it to stain some shelves. I plan to keep some on hand at all times.

Wow! This stuff really works! Very impressed with the results! Thanks for making this product available to the public. Following the instructions, I used two coats of blotch control on a Poplar project. Then I used oil-based stain and the results were unbelievable. The stain colored uniformly. Could not see the sapwood vs heartwood.

I have been fighting blotching ever since I have been in woodworking. I don't have a spray booth and don't like to keep all of those explosive materials around. In addition to being water based and safe this product hands down kicks the pants and socks off of oil based or shellac prestains. I dyed a piece of maple and cherry (with a lot of sap wood) and you couldn't tell a difference. No blotching, bleeding, or color migration at all. Clean consistent color across the boards. Great product!

The first shipment going to Canada went via UPS Standard, it left Virginia on 4/25/10 and arrived at the consumer located in Edmonton, AB Canada on 5/4/10. This shipment took 9 days, just a benchmark for our friends in Canada. This was for 2 quarts of Conditioner. The standard UPS is the cheapest means for shipping this product although a few of you have told me that UPS often has issues. Just passing along what we know at this time. 5/5/10
